Role Purpose

The Content Creator / Copywriter will turn complex education information into clear, engaging and responsible content for prospective international students, parents, partner institutions and business clients.

The role will cover website copy, articles, guides, social media, email campaigns, video scripts, university profiles and sales/partnership material.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content for Eklingji's website.
  • Produce destination, university and course-related content.
  • Create student guides covering applications, scholarships, accommodation and pre-departure planning.
  • Write email campaigns and newsletters.
  • Develop social-media captions, scripts and campaign copy.
  • Produce webinar, presentation and video scripts.
  • Interview advisers, students and partners for content.
  • Turn frequently asked student questions into useful resources.
  • Work with Marketing to maintain an editorial calendar.
  • Optimise appropriate website content for search.
  • Review existing content and remove outdated information.
  • Fact-check institutional details, deadlines, tuition-fee information and publicly available immigration information before publication.
  • Avoid unsupported claims and guarantees concerning admission, visas, scholarships, work rights or settlement.
  • Ensure sponsored, commercial or partner-related content is appropriately represented.
  • Obtain consent for student stories, photographs and identifiable testimonials.
  • Maintain Eklingji's professional tone of voice.
  • Support B2B proposals, brochures and presentations.
  • Use analytics and engagement data to improve future content.
  • Maintain organised content libraries and version control.
  • Coordinate with Education Consultants, Admissions, Partnerships and Marketing so published information reflects current operational reality.

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent written English.
  • Strong editing and proofreading ability.
  • Demonstrable content-writing portfolio.
  • Ability to research and fact-check complex information.
  • Understanding of digital content and social media.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain technical or regulatory information in straightforward language.

Desirable

  • Education-sector writing experience.
  • SEO knowledge.
  • Video or short-form content experience.
  • Basic design or content-management-system experience.
  • Experience communicating with international audiences.

Employment at Eklingji

Working hours
Normally 37.5 hours per week. Any additional hours must comply with applicable Working Time Regulations and company policy.
Annual leave
At least the statutory paid annual-leave entitlement applicable to the employee. Company contractual benefits may provide a higher entitlement.
Pay
Salaries shown are gross annual basic salaries. Eklingji Limited will ensure pay does not fall below the applicable National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.
Right to work
Employment is conditional on the company completing all legally required right-to-work checks.
Visa sponsorship
Sponsorship applies only to roles expressly identified as eligible and only where the employee, occupation, salary and vacancy meet the immigration requirements in force when the Certificate of Sponsorship is assigned.
Immigration advice
Employees must not provide regulated immigration advice or services unless appropriately authorised to do so. Non-authorised staff must refer regulated cases to an authorised adviser.
Data protection
Employees must process student, applicant, employee and partner information securely, confidentially and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements and company policies.
Ethical student recruitment
Staff must provide accurate and transparent information. Employees must never guarantee admission, scholarships, visa approval, post-study employment or permanent residency.
Conflicts of interest
Commercial commissions or institutional relationships must not override the obligation to recommend suitable education options to students.

Employees may have role-specific performance targets, but targets must not encourage unethical recruitment, inaccurate advice or inappropriate pressure on prospective students.
